The 3-day migration plan
Day 1 (Mon)
Heatcord exports your webinar replays from Wistia (MP4 + thumbnail). Other Wistia videos (courses, marketing) stay where they are. Those still belong in a video host.
Day 2 (Tue)
Imports the replay videos into Heatcord, regenerates the chapter markers from the original Wistia config, and re-stamps the in-video CTAs at their original timestamps.
Day 3 (Wed)
Updates any external links pointing to old Wistia URLs (your sales pages, email replays, etc.) to point to the new Heatcord URLs. Old Wistia links 301 to new ones for 90 days.

What it actually costs to leave
Wistia is monthly. No contract. Hidden cost: SEO-juiced video URLs. If Wistia videos are embedded on landing pages indexed by Google, their video schema markup is tied to wistia.com. Heatcord regenerates the video schema on the new URL, but Google takes 30-60 days to re-index. Plan a small SEO dip for that window.
The one thing you'll forget
The thing creators always forget when leaving Wistia: the heatmap data showing where viewers drop off. Wistia's heatmap is a gold mine for refining your replay. Export the heatmap CSVs BEFORE you cancel. Heatcord rebuilds equivalents from day 1 but the historical Wistia data is yours forever.
